10 Year Anniversary Celebration

After working with Hudson Whiskey for seven years to help develop their visual identity, we were asked to find a new and compelling way to tell the Hudson story.

 
 
 

The Ask

 

Find a way to celebrate Hudson Whiskey’s 10 Year Anniversary by celebrating the pioneering spirit of the brand and Tuthilltown Spirits - the first New York State distillery since prohibition. FYM pitched the idea of a documentary that celebrated craft distilling all across the country, told through the eyes of Hudson Whiskey Brand Ambassador, Han Shan. Our goal was to highlight the heart of Hudson’s identity - the can-do, underdog attitude that has allowed Hudson Whiskey to become a leader in the craft industry.

Our Approach

 

Our approach was fairly simple - highlight Hudson by including other American whiskey makers who share the same unstoppable spirit. While some may have hesitated at the idea of a small batch brand promoting other small batch brands, we believed that any lingering fear would be tempered by the enthusiasm that other brands had for the project. No competition, no ego - just an honest story about the highs and lows of craft distilling.

 

The Impact

 

From Grain to Glass premiered in New York City at a VIP industry event, playing to a sold out audience. It found a strong online presence, garnering accolades from press outlets like Chilled Magazine, The Manual and The Daily Beast. The other whiskey brands and whiskey influencers featured in the documentary promoted the film to all of their consumers and followers - cementing Hudson Whiskey’s appeal as a craft distilling pioneer.
